On July 16, power grid connection personnel closed the grid-connection switch, marking the official grid connection and operation of the 2.1 MW distributed photovoltaic project at the Jingce in Wuhan. This milestone not only signals that Jingce has entered a new phase in building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system. It also represents the Group’s tangible action to respond to the national “Dual Carbon” strategy, with ESG sustainability principles fully integrated into the whole value chain of corporate operation and management.
A bird’s-eye view of the campus reveals neat arrays of deep-blue photovoltaic panels that convert sunlight into a steady stream of green electricity. The distributed photovoltaic project at Jingce’s Wuhan Base is projected to generate over 2.08 million kWh of electricity annually. Following the principle of self-consumption first, surplus power fed to the grid, the clean electricity powers all on-site scenarios including manufacturing, office administration and R&D, achieving a green upgrade to the campus energy mix from the supply side.
Calculations show that over the project’s operational lifespan, compared with thermal power generation of equivalent output, the system will save 638 tons of standard coal each year. It delivers a suite of emission reductions: approximately 2,087 tons less carbon dioxide, around 63 tons less sulfur dioxide, 569 tons less carbon dust, plus substantial cuts in ash and slag discharge. The project greatly eases the environmental burden associated with thermal power consumption and continuously improves regional air quality.
In addition, the rooftop-mounted distributed photovoltaic modules offer both thermal insulation and building protection. In summer, they block direct solar radiation and cut air-conditioning load within factory buildings, lowering the enterprise’s cooling power cost. Meanwhile, the panels shield roof structures from wind, rain, snow and ultraviolet degradation, extending roof service life. This design delivers triple benefits: energy generation, building protection and energy conservation.
Following the commissioning of the 1.39 MW distributed photovoltaic project at the Suzhou Campus and the 4.8 MW project at the Changzhou Campus, the official grid connection of the 2.1 MW Wuhan project, supported by refined smart O&M, helps Jingce steadily cut energy consumption and carbon emissions — a vivid testament to its commitment to sustainable development.
Looking ahead, amid accelerating global energy transition and further advancement of the “Dual Carbon” strategy, Jingce will uphold the philosophy of green and sustainable development, empowering smart manufacturing with clean energy. While advancing high-precision metrology and inspection technologies for semiconductors, display and new energy sectors, the Group will keep exploring diversified pathways for low-carbon production and green operation. It will contribute industrial strength toward the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, making green a defining feature of high-quality manufacturing growth.
